“Light is sown like seed for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart.” Psalm 97:11, (NASV) Lord God, fill my children’s hearts with rejoicing because You reign with righteousness and justice as Your foundation. Go before them with fire and consume their enemies, making the earth tremble and the mountains melt like wax. In the same way, give them ears to hear the heavens proclaim Your righteousness and eyes to see Your glory. Cast down all idols and be first in their lives for You are the Most High over all the earth and exalted above all other gods. Consider my children faithful, I pray. Guard their lives and deliver them from the wicked. But make their hearts upright before YOU, oh God, so they may overflow with joy and light. Lord Most High, let my children rejoice and praise Your Holy Name.

“Sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth.” Psalm 96:1, (NASV) Let my children sing to You a new song and bless Your Name. Daily, may they proclaim Your salvation, declaring Your glory and marvelous deeds to the nations. Be first in their lives, oh God, casting down all idols for You are great and worthy to be praised. May they ascribe glory and strength to You who created the heavens with Your splendor and majesty. Oh God, I pray they will worship and tremble before Your holiness for You reign over all the earth, judging each one with equity. Let them join with the heavens with its rejoicing, the earth with its gladness, the sea as it resounds, the fields with its jubilation, and the trees with their joy as they sing before You, our coming King.  “Come, let us worship and bow down, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker. For HE is our God, and we are the people of HIs pasture and the sheep of His hand.” Psalm 95:6-7, (NASV) To You, oh Rock of our salvation, may my children come singing with joy and shouting with praise. With music and songs of thanksgiving, let them extol You, the Great God and King, for You hold the depths of the earth in Your hands. Come, let them worship and bow down to You who made the seas and formed the land. In Your pastures as one of Your flock, may they kneel before You, their God and Maker. Keep their hearts soft, I pray, and prevent them from testing or grumbling against You. Instead, let my children hear Your voice and be granted rest, never being led astray from Your great love.  “Blessed is the man whom You discipline, Lord, and whom You teach from Your law…” Psalm 94:12, (NASV) As judge of the earth, avenge my children, oh God. Rise to repay the proud, I pray, silencing their words and arrogant talk. Protect my children from being crushed or oppressed by their enemies. Instead, I pray You will stamp out the wicked's jubilation and heap humiliation upon their boasts. Yet, keep my children from foolishness and bless them with Your wisdom for You know the thoughts of man. Oh Lord, With Your loving hand of discipline, bless my children through the teachings of Your law while You grant them reprieve from their adversaries. Do not abandon my children, God of vengeance, but make them upright in heart so that they may follow You in righteousness. Take Your stand against their enemies, oh Lord, and be their Help. When their feet slip, support them with Your love. When they are anxious, let their souls derive joy from Your comfort. In the face of corruption and death, destroy their enemies. Be my children’s Fortress and God, the Rock of their Refuge.  |
