“Behold, God is my helper; the Lord is the sustainer of my soul.” Psalm 54:4, (NASV) Oh Lord, vindicate my children and hear their prayers. Give ear to their words for their enemies seek to attack them. Be their help, oh Lord, and sustain them, destroying all those who slander them. May their mouths be filled with Your praises for You are good. Deliver my children from all their troubles, I pray, and give them victory over their enemies.

“…God scattered the bones of those who attacked you. You put them to shame, for God despised them.” Psalm 53:5, (NIV) Oh God, help my children understand Your ways and seek after You. Prevent them from turning away but protect them from corruption and evil. Hear their call, oh God, and keep them from fear. May You scatter their enemy’s bones and put their foes to shame. Restore them, I pray, while You fill them with rejoicing and gladness.  “But as for me, I am like a green olive tree in the house of God; I trust in the faithfulness of God forever and ever.” Psalm 52:8, (NASV) Protect my children from destructive and sharp tongues which practice deceit. Bring their enemies to ruin, oh God, tearing down and uprooting these lovers of evil. Let my children make You their Stronghold rather than trusting in wealth or feeding evil desires. Instead, may they flourish in Your house and trust in Your unfailing love all their days. Fill my children with praise to You forever, I pray, for You are good. Forgive them, I plead. May You wash and cleanse them for against You have they sinned and done what is evil. Yet teach them wisdom and hide Your truth in their inner most parts. Cleanse and wash them whiter than snow while they rejoice with gladness. In turn, make even their bones rise up in joy. OH God, hide Your face from their sins and remove their iniquities. I pray You will create within my children pure hearts while You renew them with steadfast spirits. OH Lord, cast them not away nor take Your Holy Spirit from them. Instead, may You restore to them the joy of Your salvation. IN the same way, bless them with eager spirits to teach wanderer’s Your ways so sinners may come to know You. Save my children, oh God. Let their tongues sing of Your righteousness to declare Your praises. Yet, when their spirits are broken and contrite, find these to be acceptable sacrifices before You. Bless my children with Your favor, oh God, as You rebuild their walls and delight in their righteous offerings.  |
