Verses 105-136
“The unfolding of Your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple.” Psalm 119:130, (NASV) May Your Word be a Lamp unto my children’s feet and a Light unto their paths so they may follow Your righteous laws. Preserve their lives oh Lord, for they have endured sufferings. I pray their lips will offer You heartfelt praises which are acceptable unto You. Teach them Your law, oh God, and do not let them forget Your truths, straying not from Your precepts. Father God, let Your statues be the joy of their hearts and their heritage as they keep Your decrees. Make them a lover of Your law, oh God, and be my children’s refuge and shield. How I pray they will place their hope in Your Word so You may sustain them according to Your promises. Lord, help them keep Your commandments while You uphold them and keep their hopes from being dashed. With fear and trembling, may they stand before You. Do not leave my children to their oppressors, oh God, but ensure their safety. Help them to do what is right and just, for their eyes fail as they look for Your righteous promise and salvation. Oh Lord, teach them Your decrees so they may be blessed with discernment to understand Your statues. Father God, act now for their enemies break and disregard Your law. But, let my children love Your decrees more than gold so that they despise what is evil. May my children love Your laws for they are wonderful, giving life and understanding to the simple. After Your commands, let them hunger and long with love and obedience. Oh Lord, I pray You will direct their footsteps according to Your Word so no sin possesses a foothold. Redeem them, I plead. Let them obey and follow Your precepts, being taught Your Word. Shine Your face upon my children, oh God, and shower my children with every good blessing.
