“God of armies, restore us and make Your face shine upon us, and we will be saved.” Psalm 80:7, (NASV) Hear my children, oh God, and shine Your awakening might so You may come and save us. Let not Your anger smolder against my children but restore and shine Your face upon them. Do not let their enemies mock them nor let shame cover them. But look down and return so You are watching over them and raising them up. When they are cut down, consumed by fire, and rebuked by You, rest Your hand on them and strengthen them. DO not turn away but revive them. Restore my children, oh God, and make Your face shine upon them. ![]()

“Do not hold us responsible for the guilty deeds of our forefathers; let Your compassion come quickly to meet us, for we have become very low. Help us, God of our salvation, for the glory of Your Name; and save us and forgive our sins for the sake of Your Name.” Psalm 79:8-9, (NASV)
Oh God, when the world which surrounds my children scorns and ridicules You, let them stand firm in Your ways and acknowledge You in all they do. May they call out to You for help. Hasten to meet them with Your mercy for they are in desperate need of Your help. Forgive their sins, oh God, for Your glory and Your Name’s sake. But avenge those who persecute them. Hear their groans and preserve their lives while You repay their enemies sevenfold. At the strength of Your arm, let them praise and rejoice in You forever as they tell of Your wonderful deeds to generation to generation. “…I will tell riddles of old, which we have heard and known, and our fathers have told us. We will not conceal them from their children, but we will tell the generation to come the praises of the Lord, and His power and His wondrous works that He has done.” Psalm 78:12-14, (NASV)
Open the eyes of my children and bless them with spiritual wisdom so Your hidden truths may be made plain. Let them know and tell of Your power, praiseworthy deeds, and the wonders You have performed throughout the ages to the next generation. Protect them against a stubborn and rebellious heart, oh God, so they may keep Your covenant and live by Your law. May they never forget of Your wonders and miracles but believe and trust in You. Oh Lord, make their hearts faithful, remembering You are their Rock and Redeemer. Restrain Your anger, I pray, but be merciful. In the same way, forgive my children of sin and deliver them from their enemies. “I will meditate on all Your work, and on Your deeds with thanksgiving. Your way, God, is holy…” Psalm 77:12-13, (NASV)
Oh Lord, hear my children’s cries for they are in distress. Reveal Yourself to them and comfort them with Your presence. May You remember them in their weariness and groanings. DO not reject my children, oh Lord, but show them favor for Your love is unfailing. Remind them of Your past faithfulness and kept promises, I pray, so they may meditate on Your work and consider Your mighty deeds. IN the same way, pour out Your mercy and compassion. I pray You will open their eyes to Your miracles while You display Your power for even the seas, clouds, and skies obey Your commands. Through turbulent waters, may You be my children’s guide, Leading them by the hand in the wilderness and desert wasteland. |
