Proverbs 14

“IN the fear of the Lord there is strong confidence, and His children will have refuge. The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, by which one may avoid the snares of death.” Proverbs 14:26-27, (NASV)
 
Oh Lord, may my children become spouses who build their homes with wisdom. Make them upright people whose wise lips shield them and whose strength reaps an abundant harvest. In the same way, let them testify truthfully without deceit so they may flourish and consider their steps with prudence. Crown them in knowledge and let them fear You while You also help them shun evil and be kind to the needy. Yet fill them with love and faithfulness towards others, oh God, so they may save others through their truthfulness. Give them ears to hear, I pray. Be their secure fortress and refuge as a fountain of life. In turn, help them gain understanding through patience and life through peaceful hearts. I pray my children will honor You by showing kindness to the needy for You are a refuge for the righteous. Likewise, may You look favorably upon my children and let wisdom govern their actions.
