“They shall give thanks to the Lord for His mercy, and for His wonders to the sons of mankind! For HE has satisfied the thirsty soul, and He has filled the hungry soul with what is good.” Psalm 107:8-9, (NASV)
Oh Lord, let my children give thanks to You for Your love endures forever. When they cry out to You in their troubles, deliver them from distress and redeem them from the hands of their foes. Lead them in straight paths to Your refuge as You satisfy their thirst and fill them with every blessing. Father God, please keep them from rebellion against You but let them covet Your council so that they are kept from darkness and chains. Oh Lord, rescue them when they stumble, save them from distress, and free them from shackles as You illuminate the darkness with Your light. May my children exalt and praise Your Name with songs of thanksgiving. Yet send Your Word to heal them from death. Oh God, let them bring sacrifices of thanksgiving and proclaim Your great works with songs of joy. By a whisper, I pray You will still the storms in their lives and calm the mounting waves, guiding them to Your haven and filling them with gladness. Lord, turn their deserts into pools of water and their parched areas into flowing springs. IN the same way, may You bless them with bountiful harvests and protect them against harm. Grant my children an upright and joyful heart overflowing with wisdom so they may heed Your ways and meditate upon Your love.
