Verses 33-56
“Give me understanding, so that I may comply with Your law and keep it with all my heart.” Psalm 119:34, (NASV) Help my children walk according to Your commands, oh Lord. Let them know the true freedom Your laws bring. Yet teach them well how to follow Your decrees so they might keep them. Help them to understand and be guided in the goodness and wisdom of Your ways so their hearts may delight in Your statues. I pray You will turn them away from worthless things and selfish gain so they may be preserved to live out Your glory. Fulfill Your promises, oh God, and take away their disgrace. Make them long for Your precepts for Your laws are good. Shower Your unfailing love upon my children, o God. Help them trust in Your Word and put their hope in Your laws. Let Your truth ring out from their lips while they seek to obey You always. Bless them with the freedom which comes through kipping Your precepts as You foster within them a love of Your commands. In love to You, may they lift up their hands for the joy of Your law and meditate daily upon Your decrees. May the remembrances of Your Word give my children hope for your promises preserve life. When the arrogant mock them, let them not turn from Your law but instead find comfort in Your decrees as their songs. In the dark of night, let my children remember You, oh God. Instill it upon my children’s hearts to obey and follow Your precepts.
