Verses 81-104
“How I love Your law! It is my meditation all the day.” Psalm 119:97, (NASV) Oh Lord, make my children’s hearts faint with longing after Your salvation. Help them place their hope in Your Word. When their eyes fail and they are left wondering, comfort them. Do not wait long to punish their enemies for snares are set to trap and persecute my children. Do not let them forsake Your precepts but show them Your trustworthiness and help them when they are in need. OH God, preserve their lives according to Your love while they obey the statues of Your mouth. Oh God, help my children’s faith stand firm just as Your Word stands firm in the heavens. Likewise, I pray Your faithfulness continues with them from generation to generation just as Your laws endure forever. Oh Lord, make Your laws their delight so they do not perish but are preserved by Your precepts. May they seek and ponder Your statues, loving Your law and meditating upon it all day long. Oh Lord, help them to glean wisdom, insight, and understanding from Your commandments as they meditate, obey, and store Your statues in their hearts. Keep their feet from paths of evil and let them stay true to Your laws, finding your Words sweeter than honey. Teach them, oh God, so they may gain understanding from Your precepts and despise the way of the wicked.
