“Blessed is the man whom You discipline, Lord, and whom You teach from Your law…” Psalm 94:12, (NASV)
As judge of the earth, avenge my children, oh God. Rise to repay the proud, I pray, silencing their words and arrogant talk. Protect my children from being crushed or oppressed by their enemies. Instead, I pray You will stamp out the wicked's jubilation and heap humiliation upon their boasts. Yet, keep my children from foolishness and bless them with Your wisdom for You know the thoughts of man. Oh Lord, With Your loving hand of discipline, bless my children through the teachings of Your law while You grant them reprieve from their adversaries. Do not abandon my children, God of vengeance, but make them upright in heart so that they may follow You in righteousness. Take Your stand against their enemies, oh Lord, and be their Help. When their feet slip, support them with Your love. When they are anxious, let their souls derive joy from Your comfort. In the face of corruption and death, destroy their enemies. Be my children’s Fortress and God, the Rock of their Refuge.
