” I said to the Lord, ‘You are my God; listen, Lord, to the sound of my pleadings.’” Psalm 140:6, (NASV)
Rescue and protect my children from evil men of violence whose tongues are as sharp as serpents. Oh Lord, keep them from the hands of the wicked and their traps. Be their God and hear their cries for mercy. May You shield my children’s head in the day of battle while You thwart the plans of their enemies. Yet heap burning coals upon the wicked, cover their heads with trouble, and throw them into the fire. In the same way, secure justice for my children, oh God. But uphold their cause so they may praise You and live in Your presence as righteous and upright people.

"Search me, God, and know my heart; put me to the test and know my anxious thoughts; and see if there is any hurtful way in me.” Psalm 139:23-24, (NASV)
Search my children, oh God, and know them. Know when they sit and when they rise. Perceive their thoughts and discern when they go out or lie down for You know all their ways. Oh Lord, know what words they will speak even before they utter a sound. In the same way, may Your spirit and presence encircle them about from before and from behind. If they go up to the heavens or make their beds in the deep, lead them by Your right hand. If they settle on the wings of the dawn or on the far side of the seas, be with them. Let them give praise to You for You made their in most being and knit them together in the womb in fearful and wonderful ways. Yet You saw them and composed their days even before they were born. Make precious Your thoughts towards them, oh Lord, infinite in their number and more than the sand. When they wake, I pray You will still be with them. But put the wicked to death, oh God, for they speak against You and blaspheme Your Name. Fill their hearts with passion against Your enemies, I plead, despising those who hate You and rise up against You. Search my children and know their hearts. Test them and know their anxious thoughts to see if there is anything offensively grievous within them. Lead my children in Your everlasting ways, oh God, I pray. “Though I walk in the midst of trouble will revive me; You will reach out with Your hand against the wrath of my enemies and Your right hand will save me.” Psalm 138:7, (NASV)
Oh Lord, with all their hearts, may my children praise You and bow in worship of Your love and faithfulness. When they call, answer them and make them bold. May the words of Your mouth fill them with praise and songs of Your glorious ways. Look down upon them from on high, oh Lord, and preserve their lives amidst trouble. Stretch out Your hand to save them, I plead, while You help them fulfill each purpose You have for them. Do not abandon my children nor the works of Your hands for Your faithfulness endures forever. “May my tongue cling to the roof of my mouth if I do not remember You, if I do not exalt Jerusalem above my chief joy.” Psalm 137:6, (NASV)
Oh Lord, when my children weep and their hearts hang low, let them sing songs of joy amidst their enemies. Though they may travel through the wilderness or foreign lands, do not let them forget You. Be my children’s highest joy, oh God, and repay their enemies tenfold. “Give thanks to the God of heaven, for His faithfulness is everlasting.” Psalm 136:26, (NASV)
Oh Lord, may my children give You thanks for You are God of gods, Lord of lords, and Your love endures forever. Oh, may they know Your great wonders for You created the heavens, spread the earth upon the waters, and made the sun, moon, and the stars. Fill them with awe, oh God, at Your mighty hand and outstretched arm for You struck down the first born of Egypt, divided the Red Sea, led Your people through the desert, struck down kings, and gave Your people an inheritance. Oh Lord, when they are low, remember them. Free my children from their enemies, I plead, and provide for their every need. “Praise the Lord, for the Lord is good; sing praises to His Name for He is lovely.” Psalm 135:3, (NASV)
Oh Lord, may my children praise You for You are good. With songs of praise, let them serve in Your courts. Choose them as Your own, oh god, and make them Your treasured possession for You are great and worthy to be praised. Be their God, I pray, You who controls the heavens, the earth, and the seas. In the same way, you who sends signs and wonders, be their Deliverer. Avenge them, I plead, for You strike down nations and kill Kings. Grant to them a rich inheritance in You whose Name is renowned for all generations and who endures forever. Yet vindicate my children and show them compassion. I pray You will be first in their lives, oh Lord, casting aside all other idols and gods to worship You only. but let them praise and fear Your Name. “Lift up Your hands to the sanctuary and bless the Lord.” Psalm 134:2, (NASV)
From morning to night, may You fill my children with praises to You, oh God. I pray they will lift up their hands in Your sanctuary to bless Your Name. Pour out Your blessing on my children, oh Maker of heaven and earth. “Behold, how GOOD AND HOW PLEASANT IT IS FOR BROTHERS TO LIVE TOGETHER IN UNITY!” Psalm 133:1, (NASV)
Pour onto my children the oil of harmonious Living, oh God. Bestow Your blessing upon them, I pray, pouring Your anointing over them like dew falling upon the mountains. Bless them, oh God, so they may live forever with You “Let’s go into His dwelling place; let’s worship at His footstool.” Psalm 132:7, (NASV)
Oh Lord, remember my children and their hardships. I pray my children will commit their lives to You, oh Mighty God of Jacob, and fulfill their vows to You. May they seek You in Your dwelling place and worship You at Your footstool. Anoint my children, oh God, satisfying their stomachs, clothing them with righteousness and filling their mouths with joyful song. Be faithful to them, I pray, and help my children and their descendants keep Your statues so they may be blessed with a holy inheritance. Choose my children, oh God, and dwell with them, resting upon them and blessing them with abundant provision. May You strengthen them, oh God, and set before them Your Lamp. Shame their enemies, I pray, but crown my children with Your splendor. “Israel, wait for the Lord from this time on and forever.” Psalm 131:3, (NASV)
Oh Lord, form my children’s hearts to be humble, one which is not proud or haughty. Still and quiet their souls so they may know Your presence. Oh God, help them place their hope in You, now and forever more. |
