“The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and He helps me.” Psalm 28:7 When my children cry out to You, oh God, do not remain silent but hear their cries for mercy. Tear down the wicked and repay their evil deeds. Be my children’s strength and shield, oh God, and help them to trust You. Let their hearts leap for joy and give thanks to You in song. Praise You for being our strength and fortress of salvation. Save them, oh God, and bless their inheritance. Be their Shepherd. Carry my children and watch over them all the days of their lives.

“One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek Him in His temple.” Psalm 27:4 Be my children’s light and salvation, oh God. Let them not fear but be their stronghold. When evil men attack them, make their foes stumble and fall. Though they be besieged, or war break out against them, let my children be unafraid but rest in You. Oh Father, let their only desire be to dwell in Your temple, gaze upon Your beauty, and seek You. Keep them safe and hide them, setting them high upon a rock. How I pray their shouts of joy, music, and songs will be beautiful sacrifices of praise to You. May You hear my children when they call, oh Lord. Answer them and do not hide Your face. Turn them not away nor forsake them but be their Helper. Teach them Your ways, oh God, leading them in straight paths. Bless them with Your goodness throughout the days of their lives. Help them wait upon You, oh God, so they may be encouraged, take heart, and be strengthened.  “I have trusted in the Lord and have not faltered. Test me, Lord, and try me, examine my heart and my mind…” Psalm 26:1-2 Vindicate my children, oh Lord, and help them trust in You. Examine their hearts and minds, allowing Your love to unfold before them. I pray they will walk in Your Truth. Keep them from the company of deceitful men, hypocrites, evil doers, and the wicked. But make them go before Your altar, proclaiming Your praises and telling Your wonderful deeds. May they love the house of Your dwelling place, oh God, where Your glory resides and You live. Redeem and be merciful to them, oh God. Keep their lives blameless while You help them stand on level ground. May my children praise Your Name in the great assembly.  "Guide me in Your truth and teach me, for You are God my Savior, and my hope is in You all day long.” Psalm 25:5 Oh God My Savior, lift my children’s eyes up to You in trust. Let their enemies not triumph over them. Be their hope as You teach them Your path and show them Your ways, guiding and teaching them Your truth. I pray You will pour out Your mercy and love over them. Remember not their sins or rebellious ways for You are good. Keep them humble so You may guide them in what is right and teach them in Your ways. Help them keep Your covenant demands for You are loving and faithful, forgiving them of all sin. May they fear You, oh God, so You may instruct and confide in them the path You have chosen for them. Make them prosperous, oh God, and bless their descendants with a great inheritance. Turn to my children, oh God, and free them from anguish and affliction. I pray You will look upon their distress and take away all their sins. When enemies increase in their hate and number, guard their lives, and rescue them for You are their refuge. Protect them with integrity and uprightness, oh God. Redeem my children and help them place their hope in You.  |
