“Lord, who may dwell in Your sacred tent? Who may live on Your holy mountain? The one whose walk is blameless…” Psalm 15:1-2 Lord God, help my children walk blamelessly with righteousness, speaking truth without slander or slur. Teach my children kindness towards their neighbors and to do them no wrong. Yet raise them up to despise evil doers but honor those who love the Lord. In the same way, draw them up to be keepers of their word and not corrupted by money or riches. I pray they will despise dishonest gain. Help them to stand strong in You, oh God, and never be shaken. Let my children dwell in Your holy sanctuary, I plead, living with You on Your holy hill.

“You evil doers frustrate the plans of the poor, but the Lord is their refuge.” Psalm 14:6 Oh Lord, may my children never turn from You. I pray You will help them to seek You always. When evil men prey upon Your people, let them call to You. Be present with them, oh God. Cause their enemies fear and dread. When evil doers frustrate their efforts, be their refuge. Lord of hosts, restore my children and be their salvation. Let them rejoice and be glad.  “But I trust in Your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in Your salvation. I will sing the Lord’s praise, for He has been good to me.” Psalm 13:5-6 Remember my children, oh God. Do not forget them nor hide Your face. Let them triumph over their enemies and give them victory over their thoughts and hearts. Look upon them, oh God, and answer their cries, filling them with hope and light. Help them trust in Your unfailing love with hearts rejoicing in Your salvation. Let my children sing praises of Your goodness, oh Most High.  “You, Lord, will keep the needy safe and will protect us forever from the wicked…” Psalm 12:7. Help my children, oh Lord, when the faithful have vanished and when everyone’s lips lie with flattery, deceit, and boasting. Arise, oh God, and protect them from those who seek to malign them. Guard them and keep them safe from such wicked and boastful men for Your words are flawless, like pure silver refined in the fire. Keep my children safe, oh God, and protect them.  “In the Lord I take refuge…” Psalm 11:1. Oh Lord, let my children take refuge in You. Protect them from the arrows of wicked men. When the foundations of the earth are being destroyed, sit on Your heavenly throne in Your holy temple. Watch over Your children and examine them. Be not displeased but find them righteous, oh God. In the same manner, when You rain fiery coals of burning sulfur on the wicked and scorch them with winds, let my children see Your face. For You, oh Lord, are righteous and love justice.  |
