“Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord? Who may stand in His holy place? The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not trust in an idol or swear by a false God.” Psalm 24:3-4
Give my children clean hands and pure hearts so they may ascend Your hill and stand in Your holy place. Pour Your blessings upon them and vindicate them, oh God. May they seek Your face, King of glory and Mighty in battle. Lift up their heads to You and open Your gates of old so You may enter, Almighty God.

“Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for You are with me…” Psalm 23:4
Be my children’s Shepherd. Let them not be in want. Make them to lie down in green pastures and lead them to quiet waters. Restore their souls and guide them in Your righteousness. Be ever with them, oh God, so they may never fear, even when faced with death. Comfort them with Your Rod and Your staff while You prepare a table for them amongst their enemies. Anoint their heads with oil and make their cups overflow with goodness and mercy all their lives. Oh God, may they dwell in Your house, the house of the Lord, forever and ever. “Yet You brought me out of the womb; You made me trust in You, even at my mother’s breast. From birth I was cast on You; from my mother’s womb You have been my God.” Psalm 22:9-10
Lord my God, do not forsake my children nor turn Your head away from their groanings. Answer their cries and do not remain silent. Deliver them, oh God, and help them to trust You, for You are Holy and enthroned on High. Save them when they are scorned and mocked by men. Rescue them, oh God, and find them a delight in Your eyes. I pray You will know my children from the womb. Be their God from their birth to last breath. Keep near them, oh god, and come quickly to their aid. When they are surrounded by roaring lions or when they are weak and faint, hear them. Let my children declare Your Name to all people and praise Your Name to the congregation. In the same way, may they fear, honor and revere You. Hide not Your face but listen to their cries. Help them seek and praise You, OH God. May they worship and kneel before You, proclaiming Your righteousness to all generations and to a people who is yet unborn. Praise You for rescuing us from our sins and given us eternal life. “Be exalted in Your strength, Lord; we will sing and praise Your might.” Psalm 21:13
Help my children rejoice in Your victorious strength. Oh God, grant my children their heart’s desires, withholding not their requests but welcoming them with rich blessings. May You give them life, long days, and bestow upon them splendor and majesty. In the same way, shower them with eternal blessings and fill their hearts with the joy of Your presence. Yet help them trust in You, oh God, and let them never be shaken. In turn, seize their foes and swallow them up in Your fiery furnace. Thwart their enemies’ evil plots, oh God, drawing Your arrowed bow against them. Let my children exalt You in Your strength and sing praises of Your might. “May He give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed.” -Psalm 20:4
Answer my children when they cry out in distress, Lord God. Protect them, I plead, and send them Your aid. Remember their sacrifices and accept their offerings. How I pray You will grant them the desires of their hearts while You help their plans succeed. Give them victory, oh God, so they may shout with joy and raise their banner high in Your Name. Grant all their requests, I pray, for You save the anointed and answer with the saving power of Your right hand. When other’s trust in earthly things, help my children trust in You. May they rise up and stand firm. Answer and save my children when they call, oh God. |
