Revelation Chapter 8
“Another angel, who had a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense to offer, with the prayers of all God’s people, on the golden altar in front of the throne. For the smoke of the incense, together with the prayer of God’s people, went up before God from the angel’s hand.” Revelations 8:3-4 (NIV) A Prayer Over Our Children May the prayers of my child rise before You like burning incense as she stands before Your throne. Oh God, shelter my child beneath Your wings during these times of tribulation. When earthquakes, thunder, and flashes of lightening come upon the earth, watch over my little one. When hail, fire, and blood fall as the earth burns with its’ trees and grass, keep her from devastation. When the mountains are thrown into the seas, the water turns to blood, and the ships and the animals of the sea are destroyed, may she remain untouched. When the star of bitterness falls into the rivers and poisons the water, keep her from harm. Oh God, when the light of the sun, moon, and stars are blocked and the day and the night are without light, protect my little one and hear her prayers.

Revelation Chapter 7
“And they cried out in a loud voice: ‘Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.’ All the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures. They fell down on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, saying: ‘Amen! Praise and glory and wisdom and thanks and honor and power and strength be to our God for ever and ever. Amen!’” Revelation 7:10-12 (NIV) A Prayer Over Our Children Oh God, place Your seal upon my child’s forehead that she may be protected against harm. Let her join with every nation, tribe, people, and language to stand before the Lamb and Your throne. Clothe her in white, oh God, and give her palm branches to hold. Let her fall before Your throne in worship with the angels, proclaiming Your salvation, praise, glory, wisdom, and thanks along with Your honor, power, and strength. Be her Shepherd and shelter her with Your presence so she may never again hunger, thirst, or be beaten down by the sun and the scorching heat. Oh God, lead her to streams of living water and wipe away every tear from her eye. Amen. The heavens receded like a scroll being rolled up, and every mountain and island was removed from its place.”
Revelations 6:13-14 (NIV) Prayer Over Our Children Oh Lord, may You watch over my little girl and protect her during these last days. When the conquering of man comes, may You shield her from harm. When peace is taken from the earth and men slay each other, grant her peace and protection. When food and money are scarce, provide for her every need. When death shadows the earth by sword, famine, plague, and wild beasts of the earth, grant her life. Oh God, help her remain faithful to Your word and live a life which testifies of who You are. Give her courage and strength to stay true to You even when faced with death so she may be clothed in white. Oh Lord, when earthquakes come, the sun turns black, the moon turns red, the stars fall, and the sky recedes back like a scroll, or when mountains and islands are removed from their place, let my child stand blameless before You without fear or trembling. |
