“And the stars in the sky fell to earth, as figs fall from a fig tree when shaken by a strong wind. The heavens receded like a scroll being rolled up, and every mountain and island was removed from its place.” Revelations 6:13-14 (NIV) Prayer Over Our Children Oh Lord, may You watch over my little girl and protect her during these last days. When the conquering of man comes, may You shield her from harm. When peace is taken from the earth and men slay each other, grant her peace and protection. When food and money are scarce, provide for her every need. When death shadows the earth by sword, famine, plague, and wild beasts of the earth, grant her life. Oh God, help her remain faithful to Your word and live a life which testifies of who You are. Give her courage and strength to stay true to You even when faced with death so she may be clothed in white. Oh Lord, when earthquakes come, the sun turns black, the moon turns red, the stars fall, and the sky recedes back like a scroll, or when mountains and islands are removed from their place, let my child stand blameless before You without fear or trembling. Hello Everyone!
I have been so blessed and privileged to pray with all of you and share some of my most intimate thoughts. With each of us, we undergo new and changing seasons. This past week, I have had a new vision placed on my heart. While God continues to deepen my desire to pray over our children, He has also fostered within me a great love of His Word. Because of this growing passion to study God's Word, I have prayed how I might be able to incorporate both praying Scripture over our children with specific Bible study. I will be trying a new format and structure with my prayer blog. You will receive more frequent posts containing solely the Prayer Over Our Children which will still be based in a chronological reading of the Bible. Currently, my prayers center in Revelations where they will remain until we complete this final book of the Bible wherein we will pray through a different book in the Bible. Like the previous blogs, some inspirational blog posts will accompany the Scripturally based prayers, but not all. The other blog posts will not contain the Prayers Over Our Children but will be derived from my daily meditations and insights of my study of God's Word from Luke and James. These posts can be found beneath the “Meditations” tab on the banner. I do not claim to be a Bible scholar, theologian, or teacher. I am simply sharing the insights which the Holy Spirit opens my eyes to see. I pray that you will derive rich insights and joy from our time in God's Word together. These past few months have been ones of rich watering through the feeding of God's holy Word. Please join me as we continue using Scripture to pray over our children while we deepen our understanding and love of Jesus Christ through God's Word. As always, I would most welcome your thoughts, feedback, and input on this new format and change. Without further ado, I invite you to join with me in praying Revelations Chapter 6 over our children.
