Hello Friends,
For the month of November and December, I wanted to try something different. Where I usually post experiences, thoughts, or Scripture studies which move me, I wanted to take these two months to post only prayers using Proverbs as our guide. Proverbs is so rich in wisdom, I wanted to focus solely on how we might pray these Scriptures over our children and grandchildren. Please join me during this month of November and December in strategically praying wisdom over our little loved ones. May we continue to arm our children and grandchildren with the Word of God and pray His Word as a shield over them. “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge…” Proverbs 1:7, (NASV) Oh Lord, I pray my children will attain wisdom and insight while they acquire disciplined, prudent lives by doing what is right, just, and fair. From childhood, give them knowledge and discretion through listening, learning, and guidance. Let them fear You, oh God, for knowledge begins with awe and reverence of You. Place in their hearts a love of wisdom and discipline. In the same way, adorn them with their father’s instructions and their mothers teaching. But keep away sin’s enticement or the temptation to follow or give way to it. Instead, may wisdom be their cry from streets to public places. Stretch out Your hand to them, oh God, so they do not reject Your wisdom or knowledge but receive the full outpouring of Your heart. Help them heed wisdom, listen to advice, and accept correction. When calamity overtakes, disasters sweep, and troubles overwhelm, let them find You. Give them ears to listen, oh God. Yet bless them with safety and ease. Answer my children, I plead.
