“I call on You, my God, for You will answer me; turn Your ear to me and hear my prayer.” Psalm 17:6
Hear my children’s plea, oh Lord. Listen to their cries and give ear to their prayers. Vindicate them, oh God, and see if they are righteous. Look with your eyes to see what is right as You probe their hearts, examine their thoughts, and test them. May You fine their mouths without sin and their deeds righteous. In the same way, hold their steps to Your path and keep their feet from slipping. Answer them when they call. Give ear to them and hear their prayers. Show them the wonder of Your great love as You provide refuge and safety from their enemies. Oh Lord, hide them in the shadow of Your wings and keep them as the apple of Your eye. When wicked men hunt and surround, rise up, oh Lord, and confront them. Cast down their enemies and rescue them by Your sword. Save my children, I pray, so they may delight in seeing Your face and beholding Your likeness.
