“You Lord, will not withhold Your compassion from me; Your mercy and Your truth will continually watch over me.” Psalm 40:11 (NASV)
OH my Lord, help my children wait patiently for YOU. May You turn to them and hear their cries. Lift them from the pit and stand their feet firmly on Your rock. I pray You will put a new song of praise in their mouths for many fear and trust in You. OH God, reveal to them Your wonders while You unfold before them the plans You have for them. Instead of burnt offerings and sacrifices, I pray Your Will may be their delight. In the same way, let them proclaim Your righteousness, faithfulness, and salvation, making Your love and truth plain to all. Withhold not Your mercy, I plead, but always protect them with Your love and truth, letting their sins not overtake them. Save them, oh Lord, and come quickly to their aid. Visit shame, confusion, and disgrace upon those who desire their ruin and destruction. When they seek You, may You fill them with rejoicing and gladness. In my children’s times of need, remember and think of them, oh God. Do not delay but be their help and deliverer.
